“Home is wherever I’m with you”

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zero's

These guys are the most infectious Hippy-Folk-Indie-Rock band from the sunny land of California, and listening to their music makes me want to write love songs and frolic in fields of grass with my soul mate. Well I can live vicariously through their music, for now.

I love the story behind the band name…. So Edward Sharpe is the alter ego of lead singer Alex Ebert, after breaking up with his girlfriend, moving out of his house, and joining a 12-step program for addiction, Ebert began work on a story about a messianic figure named Edward Sharpe.... Check him out in this video Kisses over Babylon.

According to Ebert, Sharpe "was sent down to Earth to kinda heal and save mankind...but he kept getting distracted by girls and falling in love." Jesus is human after all, amazing!

Ebert later met singer Jade Castrinos, now his ex-girlfriend who leads the Magnetic Zeros, a loose-knit bunch of eight musicians who at first glance could easily be mistaken as homeless - Rent a hippy crowd, right here!

Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Ebert and Castrinos toured the country with a group of fellow musicians in a big white school bus…. Just like in the 60’s.

Elbert says "I have a very sort of fuzzy, utopian idea of a future" and I LIKE IT!

Happy Hippie Hippie Shake Feel Good Love Folk MUSIC!
