"The hipster triangle is supposed to be ironic. It's a tessellate shape that fits in everywhere; the irony is that hipsters don't fit in anywhere, whereas triangles do. Triangles are the strongest shape, they tesselate and are self similar (smaller scale versions will fit into itself) plus they are awesome."
