Matthew Dear.... OK so this man is an amazing Producer/DJ/Band member, and has been a musical (repeat in the car) obsession of mine for some time now. His music sounds like nothing else, yet so good, deep distinctive vocals, funky beats, poppy melody's and sexy minimal base lines. He straddles multiple musical worlds and belongs to none—and he’s just hitting his stride.
You know the song "Put your hands up for Detroit" well that was his first single, but he has made shit loads of seriously good music since. Wikipedia tells me his inspirations are Talking Heads, David Bowie, Adonis, Nitzer Ebb, and Roman Flügel, combined that with his love for Electronic Music, mixed in with a bit of pop and an awesome minimal tech base line literally in every song just, his music is sick.
I am in LOVE with his current album, Asa Breed, but even more excited for his 4th upcoming album Black City, coming August 16. Don & Cherri LOVE get this in your head NOW!
